We just launched a new feature for anyone who’s ever wondered how to incorporate unstructured riding into their training plan, and it’s available to all athletes!
Plan Builder has been updated with a brand new look for the Plan step. Now you can add solo and group rides directly into your training plan.
How do I plan group/solo rides?
Plan a new plan with the updated Plan Builder flow or update your existing plan by clicking the plan phase annotation.
There’s a new drop-down menu that lets you choose exactly how you want to ride on a given day:
Do you have a weekly group ride? Or a solo ride on the weekend just for the atmosphere? Set these days to Group Ride or Solo Ride and plan your plan.
Once added to your calendar, you’ll see group rides and solo rides integrated directly into your training plan! Instead of progress levels, you’ll see the day’s difficulty with each workout.
What else should I know about group and solo rides?
Each training day of the week is associated with a difficulty: either Difficult intervals, EnduranceOr Easy walk.
If you exchange a Difficult intervals day to be a group/solo tour, it will turn into a Difficult driving. Don’t worry about doing structured intervals that day, but try to go hard, whether you’re riding in a group or alone.
For the days that ask Endurance Or Easy walkdo your best to do what your training plan would have prescribed. If you know your trip is going to be difficult, we recommend planning it on a day that would have been Difficult intervals.
You can also set the duration of group rides and solo rides in Plan Builder. From a short trip of 30 minutes to 5 hours.
And when you open these rides, you will receive training tips on how to approach that ride based on the difficulty required by the plan.
SO, Group and solo rides operate with red light and green light!
If a group or solo ride falls on a red or yellow day, they will adjust accordingly. Hard Rides will adapt to become Easy Rides, and any ride will adapt to a rest day.
You don’t have to do anything to have access to this new feature. It is accessible to everyone from today.
