A new Stumpjumper 15 is here to eliminate any trail compromise. According to Specialized, this Stumpjumper does it all. Want to tackle bumps like a big bike? Do. Need control, fun and efficiency on short trips? You have it. And for the ultimate touch, the whisk is customizable. Given the diversity of conditions in the Methow Valley, I’m really intrigued by what Specialized has to offer, especially the new Fox suspension system called Genie. Watch the video below.
New specialized features of Stumpjumper 15
- Lightweight FACT 11m carbon chassis and rear: A strong yet lightweight frame that improves performance on the trail.
- Specialized Alloy Wheels: Durable wheels with sealed cartridge bearings for long-lasting reliability.
- FOX FLOAT performance optimized for driving dynamics: Featuring Specialized’s patent-pending GENIE air spring technology, this setup provides maximum grip and traction similar to a linear coil spring, while providing bottoming prevention like a progressive air spring. Additionally, it allows for independent mid-stroke and end-stroke bracket adjustment, with 2-position open and firm shock settings.
- FOX FLOAT 36 rhythm fork with GRIP shock absorber: Designed to tackle the roughest trails with ease.
- SRAM Eagle T-Type AXS drivetrain: Smooth, precise shifting to keep you in control.
- SRAM Maven Bronze 4-piston brakes: Deliver powerful braking for confident descents.
- X-Fusion Manic Drip Post: A reliable dropper stem you can trust on every ride.
- Lifetime Suspension Pivot Bearing Replacement: Guaranteed to the original owner, ensuring long-term durability.
There is a range of models to suit all budgets. The perfectly integrated adjustment possibilities of the Stumpjumper 15 make it a customizable trail bike. With six unique geometry settings, riders can fine-tune its performance for any style or terrain. The head angle can be adjusted between 63 and 65.5 degrees using a specialized eccentric top headset cup. Additionally, you can raise or lower the bottom bracket height by 7mm by swapping Horst Link chips: drop it down for added stability or lift it up for extra clearance.
Overall, this is a significant upgrade and feels like an entirely new bike.
