My Surly made a sort of clicking noise with every pedal stroke, forcing me to find the source of the noise. Suspecting the bottom bracket, I discovered that there was a bit of lateral play, so it was time for a new bottom bracket. I knew I wanted to try gaining a little extra weight with a new rack, so that led me to Omni Racer. I decided to go with the cromo version over the titanium version because it still saved me around 82 grams compared to the old mount. In addition to saving a few grams, this piece is also made in the USA, which I always love. This is a great piece, take a look:

Rating
The stand looks really good and is light enough as I wanted. It’s not cheap, around $60, so I’ll give it a 4 out of 5 star rating. I’ll see how long it lasts and come back to that rating later.
