Sharp tan lines can elicit a sign of mutual respect from riders (rule #7…) but often lead to a hunt for aloe vera to soothe painful sunburns which, in addition to affecting short-term performance in the saddle can have harmful long-term consequences. .
Pelotan, from Pelotan.cc, is a high-performance sunscreen designed to help cyclists cultivate those tan lines without the risk of burning. The flagship product is an alcohol-based spray, clear, quickly absorbed, light and breathable. It’s lab tested for up to 8 hours with SPF 30, meaning you can focus on a full day in the saddle without risking skin damage.
Pelotan was born on the roads of Europe as its founders struggled to avoid sunburn on long, sunny drives. Highly publicized cases of professionals burned during stage events and countless examples of runners burned during training or even shorter social races have highlighted the need for a specialist product. The team set out to create a brand that recognized the needs of cyclists, from professional athletes to weekend enthusiasts.
Made in the UK, Pelotan is dermatologically tested, contains no preservatives and is not tested on animals.

Pelotan is launching via a dedicated e-commerce website – www.pelotan.cc on May 29 and is also running a crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo – https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/pelotansun-protection-for-cyclists -sports / to help finance the development of new products and launch them internationally after the end of the European season.
The product will also be available in the Rouleur Emporium.
Pelotan is offering crowdfunding packages including limited edition jerseys designed in collaboration with Isadore, water bottles and exclusive experiences with Ribble Pro Cycling, including a team tracking day at a UK race including a travel in the team car, as well as specially designed Ribble Pro Cycling training plans.
