Guests: Brendan Quirk; Bruce Donald
Brendan Quirk is the CEO of USA Cycling. Brendan fell in love with cycle racing as a teenager and throughout his adult life and beyond he has immersed himself in everything from owning his own shop and growing a business in thriving line to his current position β imbuing the USA Cycling organization with his passion for the sport.
Brendan’s determination to succeed the organization, starting with membership and working on the Foundation Board, led him to the role of CEO. His commitment to raising awareness of cycling, from local organizations to our Olympic goals for Los Angeles in 2028, is clear. It’s about supporting local clubs and events and raising funds to ensure the sport remains alive and vibrant in the United States.

With the fall riding season in full swing, we bring you our last big hiking trail review for 2024. And I’ve kept a review of the southern New England region, particularly Connecticut, for the end.
The East Coast Greenway has come a long way in just a few years and, especially in 2024, the effects of the Infrastructure Act have pushed a number of projects forward, helping to add many segments in the quest to complete the 3,000+ mile project.
Our guide for this beautiful area of ββthe Greenway is Bruce Donald and to say he is knowledgeable about all things trails in the area is an understatement.
In addition to all of his advocacy work, securing over $189 million in funding for Greenway projects, Bruce is a lifelong cyclist and downhill skier.
Bruce takes a huge interest in the work needed to complete the greenway β and it shows in his results. You can find everything you need to know about the ECG Alliance at greenway.org.
