Blueberry Crumble Bars – Take in Properly NZ

These crumbly, sweet and juicy blueberry crumble bars can be manufactured any time of the year thanks to frozen berries!

In this recipe, the buttery almond foundation brings together properly with a layer of juicy, sweet Sujon blueberries and the extra crumble and almonds on top rated give it a attractive crunch.   It appears rather remarkable and is fairly very simple to make which is always a reward! 

Frozen berries are a staple in my property. They’re so versatile –  I insert them to yoghurt, porridge, smoothies and I also use them in baking.  I used Sujon Blueberries for this recipe. Their blueberries originate from British Columbia in Canada and are major, juicy and sweet.  

Blueberries get their beautiful deep blue color from a group of compounds referred to as anthocyanins.  These plant compounds are also an antioxidant and are thought to defend the physique from destruction from free radicals.  Blueberries also present fibre and vitamin C.  

These bars are yummy served on your own. They are also scrumptious warmed with yoghurt or ice cream and served with additional berries for a particular dessert.

Components

For the base and crumble

butter or margarine

almond butter

Berry layer

Sujon blueberries

Juice from ½ lemon

chia seeds

Icing sugar and sliced almonds for topping

Guidance

Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius

Lower the butter into compact cubes. Increase to a food items processor or blender with the almond butter and dry components. Pulse until finally the combination comes jointly.

Line a slice tin with baking paper. Push ? of the blend into the tin firmly. Bake in the oven for 10 minutes, then established aside.
