1st, I am not a doctor. but I know the muscle and below I share with you what happened and how I personally healed it. It’s been over a year since the injury and stronger than ever.
How did this happen?
No, it wasn’t at the gym lifting crazy weights. My wife and I were in Costa Rica. On the last day of my stay, I was carrying 2-50 pound suitcases up a steep, uneven hill to the car. I had hit the calves hard the day before, so they were tight. I felt a strong pull about 3/4 of the way up. I knew something bad had just happened. I then got on a plane for 5 hours to go home.
The next morning it had swollen like a balloon
I couldn’t put any weight on it and was in excruciating pain. Worst injury I’ve ever had.
It was a grade 3 gastrocnemius calf tear.
Part 1 of the video below was day 3, and it was almost 2β³ larger than my normal 19β³ calf.

The doctor told me to rest him and that he would need at least 3 to 4 months to recover. That it would probably never be the same again.
I didn’t agree.. instead of resting.. I attacked the wound.. I’m not a doctor. But I know my muscles and I know my body, so I personally built an insane recovery plan that consisted of about 6 hours a day of different treatments (no peptides or Hgh), perfect nutrition, up to 4 hours of workout per day (I didn’t train the calves). but I kept it moving) and lots of prayer.

This injury was extremely painful, we had to fight daily to manage the pain, not to tear it again and to recover as quickly as possible. If you’re like me, you’re addicted to feeling better every day.
The results speak for themselves. Thank you Jesus for strength, discipline and healing
β‘οΈ 75 days later, completely healed. Able to train heavy, jump high and run fast again. I also didn’t lose any muscle volume and had no change in the appearance of my calf.

Doctors often tell you what the average person goes through to recover. I encourage you not to be average. I’m glad I followed my instincts and was able to get it back about 33% of the time.
