“Personal training” traditionally refers to one-on-one training, one coach for one trainee. However, personalized training can have many of the same benefits as personal training, while adding a few more!
Personalized training takes place in a semi-private setting (1 coach for 4 clients or less) and this is our model at Advanced Wellness. While for the first ten years of our history we used a one-on-one training approach at our gym, we eventually transitioned to semi-private training sessions when we considered being able to reach more clients, all helping our clients achieve their goals. even more success using this approach.
We know that by providing a personalized training experience to our clients, they not only benefit from one-on-one coaching (at a significantly reduced cost by the way), but they also benefit from hearing us coach other clients. and share and communicate with their fellow training partners. They tell us they actually prefer this training approach because it combines all the benefits of personal coaching while adding the power of community into the equation.
What defines the best “personalized” training experience?
For a workout to be personalized, it must include the following elements:
- Be tailored to a client’s specific objectives
- Incorporate information about a client’s lifestyle and current movement capacity
- Be scalable and scalable as the customer progresses
- Ultimately, making customers BETTER.
Goal oriented at the individual level
Typically, a personalized fitness program is designed based on the client’s initial and very specific goals. These goals may include goals such as developing strength, flexibility, endurance, mobility, recovery from injury, as well as… once an individual’s motivations for their training program If training is determined, appropriate training progression strategies can be planned and executed to achieve them. Personal athletic and fitness goals.
Incorporates customer lifestyle considerations
All personalized training programs should take into account the client’s lifestyle factors that impact fitness readiness and receptivity. These include factors such as sleep, nutrition and overall stress management. The impact of these factors on each person helps determine whether or not a given client is able to make optimal progress toward their goals. Additionally, training load will need to be adjusted over time in order to refine any successful personalized program.
Personalized training planning: scalable and scalable
An experienced fitness program designer will develop a sample fitness program that can be initially applied to a wide variety of clients, but an excellent fitness coach will implement it by tailoring it specifically to the individual in front of him.
Great coaches understand that to push clients toward their goals, the components of a program must be sufficiently challenging. Too easy and too difficult will both miss the mark. When looking specifically at the movement, coaches will consider appropriate breathing strategy, alignment, degree of complexity (i.e. one step or more to make it sufficiently difficult), and degree of resistance . With these factors properly adjusted for the client, the likelihood of progressive success and physical performance increases. At Advanced Wellness, we believe this is our greatest asset: we hire excellent coaches who know how to deliver and tailor the right training program for each client.
It makes us all – BETTER
Finally, a scalable, large-scale program must fundamentally improve the trainee. They need to see results, feel results, and see progress along their personal performance continuum.
In our experience, we have seen more people achieve better results in a semi-private setting. And our clients tell us that working alongside others with the benefit of excellent coaching gives them much better results than one-on-one training with a single coach.
We are very grateful for this feedback from our community of fitness fans and athletes at Advanced Wellness. This inspired us to move primarily to a personalized training approach, with the result that our clients are… BETTER!
