When I tell people I’m a weight loss nutritionist, the first thing they ask me is, “What’s the best diet?” I need to lose a few pounds…”
They assume you have to diet and as a nutritionist that’s what I would advise you to do🙄
BUT that couldn’t be further from the truth.
BECAUSE…DIETS DON’T WORK!
Yes… you read that right, diets don’t work!
I’ve lost count of the number of diets I’ve tried over the years. Everything from Keto, Paleo, Dukan, Calorie Counting and Weight Watchers – you name it, I’ve tried it!
BUT these diets did not work because:
#1 – They ONLY focus on how quickly you can lose weight. They DO NOT teach you how you can easily create healthy habits that are sustainable long term AND fit YOUR lifestyle.
#2 – They don’t teach you to recognize when you are hungry and when you are full.
#3 – They don’t take into account what’s going on in your body.
When I tried these diets I’d be lying if I didn’t tell you I lost weight BUT it never stopped! I was just another “silver bullet.”
I felt like my body was broken. I was totally lost as to what foods I should or shouldn’t eat and what foods would be good for both my body and for weight loss.
There is no denying that trying to lose weight is not easy BUT you need to stop giving in to the overly marketing methods these companies are trying to sell you to lose weight.
Losing weight is not easy BUT if you want to lose weight safely and sustainably you need to stop dieting!
