Gadgets
The Body Lite Gear Night Vision LED Belt is perfect for those who enjoy walking or running, no matter the time of day (including dog walks!). It has a small storage space, so you can carry your keys or fuel. Only 90 grams of weight, so you will hardly notice it when you wear it.
Lumi Mini is a must-have if you’re lacking natural sunlight during the winter months. I have a large seasonal affective disorder (SAD) lamp and it takes up a lot of space when I use it and when I store it in the summer. Using the Mini will help improve your mood, alertness and daytime energy by emitting 10,000 lux at a distance of 12cm. Shine it while eating breakfast or while reading a book to make the winter months more bearable.
Journey
The El Camino bracelet* is something I’m really excited about. My bracelet is waiting for me back in the UK. I tell my story of “running in every country” with big and small steps on my El Camino bracelet. You can also personalize milestones to commemorate adventures and accomplishments you’re proud of. The bands are designed to be durable, meaning I don’t need to take mine off to run, swim, or work. Each one is unique to the wearer and I can’t wait to show you mine (so far!).
Your family travel wallet is a PU leather wallet available in teal and beige colors. It can hold everyone’s passports (up to 7) and other important travel documents, such as plane tickets. The cell phone strap will ensure you don’t drop or lose it as you make your way from check-in through security to the door.
The D-Robe rollable backpack offers 35 liters of storage (including a laptop sleeve). The material is durable, waterproof, recyclable and biodegradable TPU, meaning the bag can take a beating while keeping your gear dry. What I think makes it unique is the air valve that allows the bag to be compressed (and fit in the top compartment!). Internal storage pockets also make it easy to stay organized while traveling.
Outdoor
The Amazing Jame Thermal Half Zip is thermally lined, making it versatile for fall and winter depending on whether you want to layer it. The fabric wicks away sweat and stretches in four directions when compressed. There are thumbholes, hidden pockets and a shaped hem for a floaty hem. Did I mention it’s named after Mary Earps?
The D-Robe Beaufort outdoor dress is something you’ll never want to take off. I wear my outdoor dress at home on the couch instead of turning up the heat. I take camping to stay warm around the campfire, on an early morning walk with my dog, and if temperatures drop overnight. If you like to be warm, dry and/or comfortable, this jacket should be at the top of your list.
The Deakin & Blue Long Sleeve Swimsuit comes in three styles: Hendricks (shown here), Monroe and Hepburn. Covering your arms can help you stay a little warm and reduce the risk of sunburn (still wear sunscreen, okay?). There is a built-in chest support and a back zipper for easy on and off. If you’re an open water swimmer, why not also take a 2 liter dry bag (in pink or blue) to store your wet gear afterwards. your dip? Deakin & Blue have kindly offered my readers a special 10% discount on full priced items using the code MOLLIEPT. Appreciate!
EcoSki is a platform that allows you to rent, buy or repair outdoor clothing. What a fantastic way to be sustainable when hitting the slopes this winter. EcoSki strives to feature sustainable brands and also sells used kits. Another selling point for me is the size inclusiveness. The site offers ski clothing ranging from XXXS to 4XL for women and from XS to 4XL for men. The platform also offers a range of kits for skiers and snowboarders who prefer a longer or shorter cut on the leg or arm. So if you’re struggling to find outdoor gear that fits your body, take a look. The Halti Planker Jacket and Pants are what you see here.
1000 Mile Fusion Double Layer Socks are always the perfect Christmas gift. This cushioned sock offers reduced friction and protection against blister, making it perfect for long hikes or runs. Personally, I like how the design protects the Achilles tendon, which I definitely need. Ventilation zones help keep the foot cool, meaning you can stay out all day without a problem.
Relax
Jane’s amazing tie-dye pajamas are a great option when you’re taking a day or two to recharge at home. Designed and made in England but by a women’s company, you can wear it to bed or as loungewear. The relaxed fit with brushed fabric makes them both comfortable and cozy.
Earth’s Secret* Sleep Mask will help you block out light when you sleep at home or while traveling. I’m using it at my mom’s house and I’m going to try it on my overnight flight home. The eyes are cupped, so you don’t have to worry about your eyelashes while you sleep. The fabric is breathable and you can adjust the band as well as the placement of the cups.
The Munros: The complete HARVEY maps collection looks great on your coffee table and can help you plan your next Scottish adventure. For those who don’t know, a Munro is a hill over 3,000 feet. Not only can you use the book as inspiration, but you can also use it to capture memories of the hills you’ve climbed.
Supplements
Osavi Collagen for Joints and Bones* has been my favorite collagen product to try this year (and one of these days I’ll tell you all about them). The powder has no taste, so I add it to my juice, yogurt, porridge, whatever I have for breakfast. Bioactive collagen peptides helped relieve my mysterious shoulder pain that I attributed to perimenopause. The quality of my hair has also improved (according to my hairdresser). I’ve also tried tendons and ligaments and am currently working my way through hair and nails (which I won as a reward).
Planthaya Lion’s Mane* I put it on and take it off all year round. These 1,000 mg capsules help improve cognitive function (one issue I struggle with is brain fog) and promote a calm, relaxed mood. I hope to be diligent with these for the rest of the year to help me reduce my caffeine intake. It’s time I give up this habit!
I’ve written several gift guides over the years and I know there are many other things my readers would love. If you have any ideas or suggestions, leave a comment below and let me know. Or come back after Christmas and tell me what Santa brought you.
