“Replace your oil with Bacofoil®”
This week, I had fun testing Bacofoil® The Anti-Stick Kitchen Foil at mealtime. This is part of his “Swap Your Oil for Bacofoil®” challenge. I’m very familiar with the Bacofoil® brand, but I’ve never used this product before, so I was excited to see what it was like.
Bacofoil® Non-Stick Kitchen Foil is very versatile. You can use it in baking, cooking as well as freezing, making it a superhero in its own right in the kitchen.
Benefits of Bacofoil® The non-stick kitchen film
1 Its non-stick surface means food lifts right off, without breaking or collapsing.
2 There is no need to add oil or butter to prevent food from sticking to the tray.
3 Food won’t stick or burn while cooking, meaning there’s no need to scrub or soak the oven trays! (YEAH !)
What makes Bacofoil® the ultimate non-stick kitchen foil?
The intelligent BacoLift® surface prevents food from sticking and is designed to resist the stickiest culprits. The BacoLift® surface is on one side of the non-stick Bacofoil®. It is very easy to identify because it has a more matte, non-shiny embossed appearance. You should use this non-shiny side to cook your food to prevent it from sticking.
I tried lots of different foods for this challenge, from vegetables to roast lamb which was a treat. I even let my mother try it, who was very excited when her roasted parsnips didn’t stick! You can see how I used Bacofoil®, the non-stick foil this week.
Meal plan
Monday – Quinoa with Roasted Summer Vegetables with feta and crusty bread
Tuesday – Baked Fajitas with Baked Sweet Potatoes and Salad
Wednesday – Rosemary Roasted Chicken Thighs with New Potatoes and Broccoli
THURSDAY – Baked sweet potato rounds, lamb koftas, wholemeal pittas and salad
Friday – Cajun Salmon with Basmati Rice and Kale Chips
SATURDAY – Brown rice spaghetti with sausage and roasted butternut and salad
Sunday – Roast dinner at mom’s house!! (No cooking for me!)
Monday – Quinoa with Roasted Summer Vegetables
Quinoa is great for hiding vegetables but unfortunately for me, these roasted vegetables always stick to the pan every time I make this recipe. As you can see, that didn’t happen this week because I used Bacofoil® Non-Stick Foil! These veggies turned out like an absolute treat, which meant more veggies in our bellies and less cleanup for mom!
Tuesday – Baked Fajitas
I like to prepare this meal in advance so that when I’m ready to cook, the oven can do all the work for me. Because this recipe can get sticky, I often add extra oil but with Bacofoil® Nonstick, that wasn’t necessary. The fajitas came off easily, no stuck pieces of chicken to come off the tray, everyone was happy
Wednesday – Rosemary Roasted Chicken Thighs
Chicken thighs make a sticky mess. I usually bake them in a glass baking dish and then take care of the cleanup. Cooking them on Bacofoil® was amazing. They didn’t stick or tear the non-stick foil, they just lifted it up with no problem. (And no cleaning for me!).
Thursday – Baked sweet potato rounds
Roasted sweet potatoes are notoriously sticky, which is why I decided to make them for this challenge. I was very impressed with how they came out. Not only was I able to remove them from the non-stick foil easily, but they also all came off in one piece.
Friday – Cajun Salmon
Recently, I have been cooking my salmon in a casserole dish rather than in foil packets. This is great for saving time, but it means I end up cleaning the cooked salmon skin from the dish. Cooking the salmon directly on the non-stick Bacofoil® solved all my problems. The cooked salmon rose immediately without the need to oil the Bacofoil® first. Quick and easy!
Saturday – Spaghetti with butternut and sausage
Sausages are notorious for sticking to the foil and the worst part is when you remove them from the foil and they tear and all the fatty grease from the sausages seeps under the foil and all over the board, which completely defeats the point of using it. foil first. I cooked these sausages well, they were all browned and sticky and although the sausages on the edge of the tray that had been cooked a little more didn’t all slide out when I took them out, I was able to lift them up s Removes quite easily without tearing the foil. Another Bacofoil® victory!
My experience
After this week of testing Bacofoil®, the non-stick aluminum foil for the kitchen, I perfectly understand why it would be a daily essential in the kitchen. While I can see the huge appeal of using it as a healthier alternative to adding extra oil to a recipe, what I really loved more than anything was the hassle-free experience that he gave it to me when I was cooking for my young family. I want to be able to cook as quickly and easily as possible, without spending a lot of time cleaning up afterwards and that’s exactly what I experienced this week with this product.
I wish I had known about this non-stick foil a long time ago so I could also use it to keep my baking sheets looking good! If you use foil for cooking in your kitchen but have never tried non-stick foil, give it a try! This is a bit of a game changer and something I’m happy to have found to not only reduce the oil I can use in a recipe, but also save time and energy doing dishes, and Plus, it’s 100% recyclable… what more could you ask for? ?
