The location
Brand is a quiet and peaceful Alpine village nestled in the Rätikon Alps.
Hotel Lün is located along the main road through the village of Brand, near Kirche Mariä Himmelfahrt (church) and the fire station.
It is a few steps from Firefighters Church Bus Stopwith direct connections to the Lünerseebahn (lower station of the Lünersee cable car) and Bludenz, where the nearest train station is located.
With easy public transport connections, guests do not need a car to visit Brand or to stay at Hotel Lün.
In addition, all restaurants, shops and cable cars (Dorfbahn and Palüdbahn) in Brand are within walking distance.
The best restaurant in Brand, Gufer 55is located right across the street.
The village of Brand is the starting point for many adventures in the Rätikon Alps. Directly from Brand, visitors can cross Sarotla Tal to Sarotlahütte, go up the Zalimtal to Oberzalimhütte and the Brüggelealpe, reach the summit of Mottakopf and take the bus to the Lünerseebahn, the cable car that connects the Brandnertal to Lake Lünersee.
Other places of interest in the area include the Bürser Schlucht (ravine) in Bürs and the Neolithic stone circle on the Tschengla high plateau.
The rooms
The 15 rooms and apartments at the Lün Hotel are spacious and bright, furnished in a modern, refined and impeccable style.
There are a variety of rooms, each uniquely furnished. Some rooms have a balcony, a private sauna and a free-standing bathtub.
We particularly enjoyed the comfortable bed, the silence and the view from the balcony over Seekopf, Zirmenkopf, Felsenkopf and Mottakopf.
Even though the hotel is located directly on the main street, it is quiet at night. In the evening there is no traffic, because the Branderntal is a dead end. We slept three nights with an open window.
A bottle of water is provided in the room. Tap water is also drinkable.
Our only complaint is that the balcony is slippery in places (after rain) and requires special attention.

Breakfast
The breakfast buffet is carefully prepared and includes local produce and homemade treats like various cakes, chia pudding and avocado spread.
The owner is passionate about providing a high quality organic breakfast. If it’s not local, it’s responsible sourcing. We loved the local cheeses and charcuterie.
The freshly squeezed orange juice made from untreated oranges was also a treat.
Throughout breakfast, the plates are continually replenished.
The dining room extends over two rooms and an outdoor terrace. You can sit wherever you want.
Breakfast is available between 7:30 a.m. and 10:00 a.m.

Well-being and Spa
The lower level of Hotel Lün is dedicated to a modern and well-maintained wellness area, free for all guests between 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.
The spa includes a steam sauna, a Finnish sauna, an infrared cabin, a relaxation room and showers.
Towels are available next to the entrance.
There is also a well-stocked tea bar with a variety of Sonnentor teas, Sonnentor herbal syrups, water, nuts and fresh fruit.
You will find bathrobes and slippers in your room.
Those who prefer a private sauna experience can book the luxury king suite with infrared sauna.
We really enjoyed using the spa after our hike to Schesaplana, which ended dramatically in a thunderstorm. We waited over 90 minutes with soaked clothes to take the cable car back down to the valley (it doesn’t work during thunderstorms). By the time we got back to Hotel Lün, we were cold (and a little miserable). The steam sauna was a godsend and probably why we didn’t get sick.
