It’s no secret that well-fitting clothing is essential on and off the trail if you want to look great, and who doesn’t? When KÜHL contacted me for a review of their women’s pants, I was delighted! The KÜHL brand is known in the outdoor world and I couldn’t wait to try their products.
After browsing their collections and series online, I decided on the Haven Joggr, which won “Best Hiking Pants” in Outside Magazine’s 2023 Summer Gear Guide. I’ve been wearing them for months now, and spoiler alert, I love these pants. Here’s why.

Although black and olive black were the most popular colors, they were out of stock so I opted for Twilight. I was pleasantly surprised to see how pretty color is personal. In photos it looks like lavender, but in reality it’s closer to blue.
The thin external elastic drawstring can be easily tucked under a shirt for a streamlined look.
The pants have covered zippered pockets and a deep cell phone pocket on the side, perfectly placed for convenience.
Typically a size 4, I find the Small fits comfortably without being cowardly. Although I have more room in the thighs compared to the model photo, it still maintains a floaty fit.
One of the challenges of the Haven Joggr is that it only comes in one inseam length – REG(28″). If you typically wear a size Small or Large, the one-size-fits-all length may be a problem for you. At 5’6″, the lower wrists sit right at my ankle bone.
Functionality – 4.5/5
The Haven Joggr’s durable, stretchy fabric makes it ideal for tough outdoor activities such as hiking, campingetc travel.
The bottom cuffs don’t hug my ankles, making them comfortablebut they did not prevent small insects from getting in.
I found the Haven Joggr too light to wear in January and February in Southern California. However, now in July they are comfortable, which makes them ideal for spring, summer and fall.
Even if I keep my cell phone inside slip into pocket doesn’t restrict my movements when hiking in the mountains, I don’t like feeling it there, so I don’t use it. However, it is perfect for walking around town, running errands or walking your dog.
Quality and durability – 5/5
The Haven Jogr is light, stretchableetc sustainable. Unlike the leggings, I had no issues with them getting snagged or torn by branches or rocks.
I appreciate the neat and clean stitching, as well as this details around the front and back zippered pockets and side cell phone pocket. These characteristics reflect the high quality pants.
Overall – 4.5/5
The Haven Joggr is lightweight, comfortable and expertly designed. Durable, stretchy fabric makes them perfect for tough outdoor activities like hiking, camping, and traveling, but they’re stylish enough for running errands or strolling around town. With only one inseam option, these pants are best suited for people between 5’6″ and 5’8″ with muscular legs.
