Just a quick note to remind us that the one thing we’re not encouraged to do in life is take care of each other. We are encouraged to wear a mask, physically distance while psychologically internalizing the effects of the term “social distancing,” view each other as potentially life-threatening, and stay alive and healthy. And yet, nowhere in all of this have we been encouraged to take care of each other. At no time before all this were we encouraged to do this.
I believe that not giving a damn about each other, listening to each other, caring for each other, being willing to disagree with each other, supporting each other and just recognizing that we Let’s all do our best to navigate the missing link human bullshit. This is what would dismantle all the systems that have kept us in competition with each other for so long, and allow us to learn more about each other in a way that our bullshit on social media doesn’t convey. Never.
Try caring for someone once you read these words. Give your time, keep some space, care about someone else’s well-being. What you will find is that by doing this, you will end up feeling better about your own experience of life. And really think about how different this world would be if we were encouraged, conditioned, and taught to truly care for each other.
